Privacy policy

Proof Passport is a tasting journal and trip planner for small groups. This policy explains what the app stores, where it goes, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Your email address, to send one-time sign-in codes.
• Your display name and what you enter: tastings, notes, scores, flavours, trips, stops, costs and wishlists.
• Photos you take of bottle labels and pours, and voice notes you record.
• Documents you choose to import, such as an itinerary or booking email.

We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifiers or browsing history, and the app has no ads or third-party analytics.

How it is used and shared

• Your group: trips, sessions and costs you join are visible to the other members of that trip or session.
• Storage: data is saved on your phone first, then synced to our database hosted by Supabase (United States).
• Voice notes are sent to OpenAI to turn speech into text.
• Tasting text, label photos and imported documents are sent to Anthropic (Claude) to suggest tasting notes, identify bottles and read itineraries. Nothing is used for advertising.
• Addresses you type for hotels or stops are looked up with OpenStreetMap services to place them on the map. Maps are displayed by Apple Maps or Google Maps.
• Sign-in emails are delivered by our email provider.

We do not sell your data. These providers process it only to provide these features.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while you use the app. You can delete tastings, sessions and trips in the app at any time. To delete your account and everything linked to it, contact us at the address below and we will remove it within 30 days.

Age

Proof Passport is only for adults of legal drinking age where they live.
